Multi-Use Games Area - Update

The Parish Council held the Consultation Event on the 3rd July which was well supported and the findings were discussed at the Parish Council held on 10th July. Two Design Proposals were adopted as being the most popular and the others rejected. There were concerns regarding both designs and these have now been investigated and a recommendation will be made to the Parish Council at an Extra Ordinary Parish Council meeting tobe held on 24th July.

A big thank you to Mr Gyles, Headteacher at the local Primary School for providing the room to exhibit the designs and for the Drop-In Event.

Proposed extension of LCC Croft Depot

Proposed Extension to the Existing LCC Highways Depot at Croft
Application Ref 2007/01/0198/01

This application was discussed by the LCC Development Control and Regulatory Board on 21st June 2007, when a number of residents, a representative from the Parish Council and Mr E White CC (ward member) spoke against the proposal. Residents had previously attended both the April and May Parish Council meetings to express their opposition to the development. At the April Meeting Officers from the County Council had discussed the need for the extension and listened to residents concerns.

The Board resolved to refer the application back for further consideration and review by the applicant. Whilst this decision is not a rejection of the application it demonstrates that the Board accepted the concerns raised by the residents/Parish Council and County Councillor. The Parish Council wishes to thank those Residents and County Councillor for their contributions.

The amended application has now been resubmitted to the County Planning Department and now due to be included on the 16th August Agenda of the Development Control & Regulatory Board.

The amended application was approved by the Development Control and Regulatory Board at it's meeting held on 16th August. Residents and the Parish Council are extremely disappointed with the decision, although some minor improvements were included in the amended application.
