ALLOTMENT SITE

ALLOTMENT SITE

The Parish Council Allotment Site is located on Arbor Road, Croft.

Location;
approximately 150m, on the right, before the junction of the B4114.

The site is very popular and there are many enthusiastic allotment holders.

The annual rental for a plot is only £7.50 and represents excellent value. For the Allotment Rules & Regulations see menu on left.

CONSULTATION WITH PRINCIPAL AUTHORITIES

The Parish Council is consulted on a range of topics which includes Planning, Crime and Disorder, Transport issues and Strategic Community Planning etc.

LITTER PICKING

The Parish Council is responsible, under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, for the removal of litter on Parish Sites. However, the Parish Council, provides a Litter Picking Service to the rest of the village to compliment the service provided by Blaby District Council.

The Parish Council has recently been successful in securing four additional dog waste bins (provide by Blaby District Council) in the village and all dog owners are requested to make use of these facilities.

The Parish Council has opened a new Croft Cemetery off Huncote Road to book a burial.

SPORTSGROUND

SPORTSGROUND
The sportsground is located at the end of Winston Avenue and comprises of Car Park, Pavilion, two large sportsfields.

One of the sportsfield is used primarily by Croft Cricket Club and the other by two senior football clubs. A new junior football side has recently been formed and a junior pitch has been provided for them.

The sportsfield represents a superb asset for the village, however, whilst considerable funds have been spent on the pavilion, further works will be needed in the future.

The Croft Cricket Club is currently (2007) celebrating its centenary and together with the Parish Council have refurbished the Kitchen and Lounge in the Pavilion.

CROFT FUN PARK

Croft Fun Park is situated on The Bridle in Croft. It has a section for children aged 6 and under, as well as a section for the older children. The playground also has access for wheelchairs and is fenced for safety and to keep dogs out. Please note No Dogs are allowed into this Park.
